October 5, 2009: Attendance

Fair officials were pleased with Fair attendance considering all the challenges beyond our control; the fire at the old Boise Cascade site, a controlled burn in the mountains which left the air quality very poor, rain and high winds. We thank our faithful fair lovers who come to the Fair, no matter what the weather is.

Mommy Zone & Toddler Town

Nursing mothers and mothers of toddler-age children will enjoy an area located in the Valley Building (Big R's Fair Farm). A quiet area with rocking chairs and changing table is available to take care of your wee ones. Toddler Town features things just for the toddler-age child. Get them out of their strollers and let them play in a safe, fenced area. You will LOVE this building!

The Many Sounds of the Ring-A-Ding Ding!

Many of you have walked past the Ring-A-Ding Ding and heard the little kids playing. Many adults and teens have played on it too. Imagine a professional drummer tinkering around on it! Here's your chance to hear what a real drummer can do on the RADD. Our 2008 Fair TV commercials feature the Ring-A-Ding Ding in the background. Listen to our three TV spots by clicking on the links below. We love these commercials and want you to enjoy them even though it's no longer 2008!

Some fun videos to watch include our Staff kids plus a young professional drummer. To view, go to youtube.com and enter search words "Yakima Fair Ring-A-Ding Ding." Viewing these will give you an idea as to how we shot the TV commercials.
