Is there a Snyder's Bread Day at the Fair?
The answer is yes and the answer is no. Franz Bakeries purchased Snyder's Bread years ago but have continued through the years to package under the Snyder's Bread label. Until recently. Now Franz no longer packages bread under the Snyder's label. So, when you're looking for that bright pink sticker, look for the Franz label, not the Snyder's Bread label. It's the same great promotion with the same great sponsor! Just a new name. We're calling it the Snyder's Bread / Franz Bread or Franz Bread / Snyder's Bread Day promotion!
Casey Family Programs presents the "Rainforest Experience" along with official sponsor Catholic Credit Union.

The Fair wishes to acknowledge that the "Rainforest Experience" is made possible by a grant and support from Casey Family Programs. |
| The Fair also welcomes official and long-time sponsor Catholic Credit Union to the world of cold-blooded creepy crawlie creatures. Watch for CCU mascot Kirby in the Expo Building. |

The Rainforest Experience is an expanded Brad's World Reptiles and will be the feature attraction in the Expo Building, located at the south end of State Fair Park. Encounter a giant anaconda, massive prehistoric alligator snapping turtle, American alligators, huge tarantulas, snakes, lizards & more! And check out the live-hatching snake eggs!

Back by popular demand! Steve Rother returns to the 2008 Fair! Even non-horse lovers are captivated by his working sessions and demonstrations. Look for the round pen just east of the Valley Building and kiddy corner from Young Life.
Steve, along with his partner Francesca, will be doing demos each day with his liberty horse, TC, as well as Spanky and Jet, the mini-horses.
Our Fair is the only event where Steve provides private lessons covering any aspect of horsemanship. You do not need to be a Fair participant to take advantage of these lessons. Lessons are $60/hour or $75/1.5 hour session. Schedule your private lesson by contacting Karen Stewart, 509.697.7714 or 509.949.7902. Karen can provide you with all logistical information for hauling in, ticketing, etc. Click here to visit Steve's website. |
