VINTIQUES –ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL SHOW FOR THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY

            As 606 Vintique cars rolled into town, both driven and hauled in on trailers, Yakima businesses enjoyed the success of another Vintiques car show at State Fair Park.  Car owners bring business to local hotels, restaurants, gas stations and retail businesses which supports the local economy and generates tax dollars.  Several local hotels were sold out on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, August 4^th, 5^th and 6^th while other hotels enjoyed 5 – 15 room sales each night of the show, a total exceeding 600 room nights for the lodging industry.  This count does not include the 200+ campers using State Fair Park facilities all three nights.  Officials estimate the economic impact to local economy at $1.47 million.
