For your convenience, accessible ticket windows are located at all State Fair Park Entrance Gates.
To park in the ADA parking stalls, guests must have a legitimate ADA placard or a license plate that identifies them as having special needs parking. Parking attendants will direct you to the reserved ADA parking section. We increase the number of ADA parking stalls on our Senior Day (Tuesday) to accommodate the needs of our senior guests.
Howards Medical Supply is supplying all mobile assistance units. Rentals are located outside the SW Corner of the Yakima Valley SunDome. Look for the covered wagon! A deposit of $20 (either cash or a valid credit credit) for non-electric wheelchairs and a $50 deposit (either cash or a valid credit credit) for all electric mobile units will be required until the rental item is returned. Please note: the item MUST be returned 15 minutes prior to closing or the deposit will be forfeited. We cannot reserve rental items. Items are rented on a first-come, first served basis, based on availability.
Electric Wheelchairs: $50 (weight capacity 290 lbs.)
Electric Scooters: $50 (weight capacity 260 lbs.)
Service Animals specifically trained to aid a disabled person are allowed to enter.
All buildings on the fairgrounds are equipped with restrooms that accommodate our guests with special needs.
There is one family restroom on the grounds at fairtime and it's located on the south side of the Agriculture Building. This restroom allows parents to attend to the needs of their opposite-sex children, or for attendants to care for their loved ones.
An area in our Main Stage area is reserved for our guests with special needs. This section is in our “free” area & will allow for one attendant. We will make every effort to keep families together, based on space availability.
A seating area for our guests in wheelchairs is in the North Turf Club, accessible by the exterior ramp, west side of Grandstand. Attendants must be physically capable of controlling the wheelchair as it ascends and descends this ramp. This section is in our “free” area and will allow for one attendant. Sign Language Interpreters
