The Central Washington State Fair is more than just a fair, it is a celebration of Central Washington; the people, the agriculture, the traditions. For months, Fair staff has closely monitored the COVID-19 pandemic and worked with the Yakima Health District, and other governmental agencies, to determine the viability of holding this year's Fair. With Yakima County still in Phase One and the COVID-19 outbreaks increasing, the improbability that mass gatherings like the Central Washington State Fair could safely and responsibly take place this Fall were imminent.
Unfortunately, time has run out. It was with a heavy heart the Central Washington Fair Association Board of Directors voted unanimously to cancel the 2020 Central Washington State Fair. We know the Board absolutely made the right choice, the only choice, but it doesn't make it hurt any less.
For those who purchased the 2020 Central Washington State Fair Super (Season) Pass, we apologize for the inconvenience, but please know our decision was based on keeping you safe and healthy so we can be together next year. If you purchased a 2020 Super (Season) Pass, you can either roll your pass(es) over to 2021 with a no-price increase promise, or receive a full refund.
